Adele Named UK’s Richest Female Musician Ever

Adele’s best-selling album “25” added 30 million pounds (43 million dollars) to the London-born singer’s fortune, putting her top of the Sunday Times newspaper’s Young Musicians 2016 rich list for performers under 30.

The worldwide hit which was released last November, booted the 27-year-old singer to 85 million pounds, lifting her to 30th place in the papers 2016 list of the wealthiest performers and composers in Britain and Ireland.

Paul McCartney tops the musicians’ rich list for a second year in a row.

The former Beatles and his wife Nancy Shevell, had a combined fortune of 760 million pounds, according to the Sunday Times on Thursday, a rise of 30 million on last year.

McCartney was followed by composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, with 715 million pounds, while the Rolling Stones were Britain and Ireland’s wealthiest band with the fortunes of its four members totaling 630 million pounds.

Irish band U2, whose fortune jumped to 500 million from 431 million pounds, was the highest-grossing rock act last year selling 1.29 million tickets worth 66 million pounds for 76 concerts.

Singer/songwriter, Ed Sheeran, had jumped five places making him the second-richest young performer after Adele and propelling him into the main music list for the first time.

The late David Bowie’s family, who inherited 70 million pounds from his will, was also a new addition to the list with a combined fortune of 90 million pounds.

Although many musicians climbed the wealthy ranks over the past year, a few dropped including Cliff Richard, who fell four places in spite of a 3 million-pound addition to his bank account.

Former Oasis band members, Noel and Liam Gallagher were the only performers whose fortunes showed a marked decline, the paper said with a loss of 12 million pounds, dropping them seven places.

The list ranks Britain and Ireland’s richest musicians and performers and was published ahead of the annual Sunday Times Rich List this weekend.

The little boy heard the doorbell ring, so he hurried to open the door, and there stood grandma’s Minister. The Minister said, “Hello, son is your grandma home?”

The little boy replied, “Yeah, but she’s in the bedroom bangin’ her boyfriend.”

The minister fainted.

This Chunk Of Stinky Whale Vomit Found On A Beach Could Be Worth £50,000

Lucky Gary and Angela Williams stumbled across a particularly pungent boulder while strolling along a beach and realised it was a hunk of super valuable whale vomit.

They smelled the vomit before seeing it on an evening stroll down Middleton Sands beach near Morecambe Bay in Lancashire.

They followed the stench of rotting fish and spotted an unusual looking ‘rock’ near the waters edge which looked like a piece of ambergris - or 'whale vomit’ - they once saw in a newspaper.

Taking a punt on it being worth something, Gary and Angela wrapped the rugby-ball-sized lump in a scarf and took it home, where they discovered it weighed 1.57kg - just over half the size of a lump also found near Morecambe which was valued at £120,000 in 2013.

Ambergris is hardened intestinal slurry from a sperm whale which takes years to form and which is thought to protect the animal from hard and sharp objects it eats. The highly-prized substance is used to make perfume.

It’s known as 'floating gold’ because it’s so rare and perfume makers are willing to spend a lot of money to get it.

Ambergris can float in the ocean for years before washing ashore and years of exposure to the sun and salt water transform it into a smooth, grey, lump of compact waxy rock.

“It’s a very distinctive smell, like a cross between squid and farmyard manure,” Gary explained.

“It feels like a rock hard rubber ball. Its texture is like wax, like a candle. When you touch it you get wax sticking to your fingers.”

He added: “If it is worth a lot of money, it will go a long way towards buying us a static caravan. It would be a dream come true.”

The couple have put their chunk of smelly gold in safe storage while they consult an expert in France and another in New Zealand.

Bras may be necessary (for the majority of women, anyway), but they’re restrictive, uncomfortable and simply don’t work with a lot of outfits. So, sometimes, you just need to ditch them and let your boobs hold themselves up.

We all do it - Jennifer Aniston went braless for practically the entirety of “Friends” - but when a woman goes sans bra on the red carpet, the world gets a little excited.

Look at Jennifer Lawrence, for example. The 25-year-old actress rocked up at CinemaCon in Las Vegas last night in a black tank top, embellished skirt and *deep breath* no bra. And you know what? She looked incredible.

No one would even have known that she wasn’t wearing a bra if it wasn’t for the fact that the camera flash caused her vest to go ever-so-slightly transparent. But as this is an actress who’s happy to discuss her menstrual cycle and has tripped up in front of the world at the Oscars, we doubt she cares that everyone knows she ditched her bra last night.

Let’s get back to that spot-on outfit. The blonde, who’s known taking to the red carpet in an array of Dior ensembles, opted for a more laid-back approach and teamed her black tank with a skirt by Altuzarra, a luxe brand (stocked on Net-A-Porter and Matches Fashion) known for its innovative detailing and graphic prints.

J Law teamed the skirt with strappy black sandals and debuted an even lighter hair colour than usual for the occasion - which looked almost silver in some snapshots.
