Hate And Irresponsibility, The Buhari example:

If only president Muhammadu Buhari, his entire team and their online#ChildrenOfChange had deployed at least 20% of the time and resources invested in painting Jonathan and his team in bad light towards delivering the much needed#change to millions of Nigerians who had faith in them, maybe....just maybe, we wouldn't be in this mess today.

But no,

Resorting to devilish lies and demonic propaganda --all driven by hate-- against the person of the former president Jonathan was apparently the number one and arguably the only agenda of the Buhari-led APC government.

"By fire by force, Jonathan must be made to look like the devil. We must twist history and present him (GEJ) as the biggest thief in Nigerian history. Whatever we do, we must always blame Jonathan. Even if we fail in our 'husbandly' duty to our wives, we must always blame it on Jonathan. Remember, Nigerians believed me when I told them I had an Igbo cook and driver plus a son-in-law from Anambra state. They equally believe I could make one naira equal to one dollar. Getting them to believe Jonathan stole Asorock is no big deal"

And so, began one of the worst state-sponsored campaign of calumny the world has ever witnessed.

They first lied that he (GEJ) swallowed all the arms fund and bought no arms for the boko haram war. But when asked if it was catapult they used to achieve the so called technical victory over Boko haram considering they were yet to purchase even a razor blade for the military, the minister of information; Mr Lai Muhammed (who is officially the lying machine of this government) quickly recanted and claimed GEJ actually bought arms but that those arms were substandard.

The same government claimed Jonathan left a treasury that was virtually empty. Meanwhile, it was from thesame 'virtually empty' treasury that he (Buhari) built a Helipad in his daura town in Katsina state, traveled all over the world with APC governors and retinue of aides plus so many other things he did then.....all from the same treasury he claimed was virtually empty.

And to prove that puerile lies come easily to this government and all her agents, they have refused to publish Jonathan's hand over note.

They claimed He (GEJ) built no almajiri schools but now, the same people are now telling us that the almajiri schools built by Jonathan were too expensive to maintain.

Just Look At!!

In a hate-induced attempt not to associate anything good with Jonathan, they canceled his agricultural program. Now, that its been proven that the Ancestral spirit Audu Ogbe who is in charge of agric is as hopelessly clueless as his principal; Buhari, they have revived the same Jonathan program they canceled before.

Jonathan introduced BVN, TSA and other scientific means of fighting corruption but because he had enough common sense, he planned the TSA (Treasury Single Account) in phases considering that the commercial banks which employ thousands if not millions of Nigerians, need money to continue to be in business. President Buhari and his team entered and proved they are bereft of any shread of common sence by implementing the TSA in one phase. All those billions those commercial banks needed to keep being in business were withdrawn and kept in the TSA. Money is to the banks what water is to the fish. What this government did with the TSA was as criminally idiotic as withdrawing a junkie (drug addict) from his drug addiction at once. No! You don't do that. That is most likely going to be counter productive as the addict might even die or develop serious complications deadlier than the drug you were withdrawing him from. Just like in the case of the junkie, the TSA should have been done in phases.

Commonsense isn't common, after all, is it?

Today, Buhari and his team have their TSA but at what cost?

Millions of Nigerians hitherto employed by these banks have been thrown to the labour market. Millions of families have now been made destitute simply because some bunch of old men who clearly belong in the 16th century were so busy trying to paint Jonathan as too weak and corrupt to implement the TSA.

When I said in my "In Defence Of Jonathan" that the only thing that bind every official, agent and supporter of this government together was hate for Jonathan, I wasn't lying.

Nothing kills an organization or a country faster than the head of that organization or president of that country being unable to rein in his prejudice against certain persons or tribes. Leadership is a very serious business. As a leader, you don't let your hate for people of a particular faith and region to cloud your judgment. Regrettably enough, this fact is lost on Buhari and his team.

Did any of you ever hear Jonathan blame Obasanjo (his predecessor) for once, all through his 5 year term??

Did you guys ever hear the politician-turned-pastor Matthew Aremu OBJ blame the military government of Abdulsalam Abubakar (his predecessor) for once all through his tenure?

This is because those two men had enough common sense to realise that leadership is about responsibility. Responsibility for all the things that happened during your time in office. Whether they were caused by the actions or inactions of Ancestor Lord Lugard is irrelevant because at the end of your tenure, you will be judged not by the mistakes of your predecessor but by how you handled those problems you met on ground and the ones that surfaced later.

Sadly enough, this very simple fact is lost on Muhammadu Buhari and his team.

The real definition of irresponsibility is when you as Mr Buhari spent 12 solid years begging and even shading tears asking us to appoint you as our president and swearing by all the seven gods that you had carefully studied all our problems and had the solutions on standby mode just waiting for us to approve your request of being made our president before you could roll out those solutions of yours only for us to finally make you president and watch you spend almost two years (which is half of your tenure) blaming the govt before you for all our woes.

If we didn't acknowledge error on the part of your predecessor, we wouldn't have sacked him!

You (Buhari) was elected because you claimed you had the solutions!

Blaming past administrations for everything rather than trying to fix things as you promised is downright idiotic and terribly hypocritical because you were among the past administrations. You singlehandedly contributed over 50% of our problems today when you truncated our nascent democracy some 3 decades ago. You have been a governor, a federal commissioner, PTF head, former head of state etc before becoming president again today.

And under your watch, then, billions of dollars disappeared. Some suitcases were allowed to carry large sum of cash out of the country supposedly at your behest. We remember!

So, I ask, when Buhari goes blaming past administrations for the rot in the system, what does he normally have at the back of his mind??

That we have forgotten how he destroyed democracy some 3 decades ago, served under the most corrupt and brutal government of Sani Abacha and all his dictatorial and tyrannical records including how he backdated a decree just because he was so eager to kill 3 southern guys??

Our economy may be in recession but for some of us, our brains are not!

80% of the problem we are facing today are caused by this government's very irresponsible act of not taking responsibility for anything!
