*APC 1:1-12*
Our Reading For Today Is Taken From The Book Of Politics as written by APC Chapter 1 beginning to read at verse 1....
1. And it came to pass, when the Lord would punish Nigeria, that He gave them a President
called Buhari, under whose hand they were mightily oppressed.

2. Before he ascended the throne, he made them hope, with all manner of promises,
that he would bring them to the promised land before the coming year began.

3. Thus the inhabitants of Nigeria grew restless with their good condition, and sorely
vexed the President under whose hand they had prospered, so that he would not have the office of the President again, but rather resented it.

4. In those days also the Boko haramites laid siege to the North, and slew of the people three and twenty thousand, intending to set up a kingdom which would be ruled by Islam.
.
5. Thus the inhabitants of Nigeria remembered not the good deeds of Jonathan, but thrust him out of the throne, and made Buhari President in his stead.

6. Buhari was seventy and two years old when he began to reign. He reigned one and a half years in Nigeria, and the land became impoverished under him and the hausites, the igbolites and yorubites began murmuring against the President.

7. But the President continued to persecute also a few of the people, accusing them and casting them into prison. Thus, the opposition was subdued, the people could not find bread and rice to eat and there was hunger in the land.
8. And the end became uncertain as there was wailing and gnashing of teeth and as soon as the president heard this he began to travel around d the world and in the middle of his reign he launched a campaign to say to the people "Change begins with you.

9. And in those days, there came a disagreement between the President and his household. And the woman of his 'old age (not youth)' chastised him in a proverb saying 'he who the gods want to remove from position he first makes deaf', as he no longer listens to her.
10. In response to her, while in a far away land with the Germans, he rebuked her and reminded her of her duties as a wife, saying "while he belongs to everybody and nobody, 'she belongs to the kitchen, the living room and the other room'".
11. And these sentences caused uproar and division in the land, which greatly caused division in the land among its inhabitants..

12 Tell it not in Germany. Tell it not in the streets of Abuja, how art the mighty fallen? Knoweth thou not that Sai Buhari has goofed and it's now "to your tents oh Nigerians!

The Federal Ministry of Finance has released the N1.1 billion Budget Support Fund of Ekiti State it seized about two weeks ago.

Governor Ayodele Fayose disclosed this, yesterday, in Ado Ekiti.

His Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, quoted the governor as saying that the Federal Ministry of Finance had communicated with state officials on the release of the money. “I don’t want to join issues with anybody on the allocation, it is a statutory allocation for all the states, I can confirm to you here that by Tuesday next week, I will get the bank alert for the money, an official communication on the release was passed to me on Thursday,” the Governor said.

Ayodele Fayose The state government and officials of the Federal Ministry of Finance had been at logger heads over the non-release of the money.

The money had been paid into the account of the state, penultimate Thursday, but withdrawn a day later for reasons not disclosed.

The development led to Fayose going to the headquarters of the ministry in Abuja to officially protest the action.

A statement by the ministry said the money was withheld because the state did not fulfill some obligations, a claim promptly denied by the state government.

In a swift reaction, the Governor , who spoke through one of his aides, Mr Lere Olayinka, said the explanation was an afterthought meant to mislead the public.

A Bank Manager in one of the new generation banks in Asaba, Delta State (name withheld) has allegedly put in family way mother and daughter (names withheld) after their relationship which started as customers.

Reports said that the Bank Manager was on Tuesday bathed by his wife in Benin City, Edo State with soap washing water and allegedly smashed his car’s windscreen when she got wind of the shocking news and had attempted to know the true story from the husband, when the trouble started.

It was gathered that the Manager hails from Benin City, Edo State and was transferred to Asaba to head the Bank Branch.

But sources said trouble started two weeks of his resumption in office when the woman, a first class business woman at the popular Ogbeogonogo market during financial transaction at the bank and interaction with the manager, discovered kind hearted services’ a situation she allegedly asked for his GSM number after which she left the banking hall.

It was further learnt that the bank manager a graduate of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) resumed Asaba branch of his office without his wife moving with him and since had been living like a bachelor in a self contained room he rented around Infant Jesus.

More often, our informed sources said, the woman-customer who barely three weeks of her relationship with the allegedly turned herself into housewife for which often she cooks and washes his clothes.

Family sources said that the woman’s husband alleged to be “vegetable” after he allegedly survived strange illness, was rendered impotent and can no longer perform his civil and conjugal responsibilities ‘a situation he lost his wife to other man outside.

While the philandrous act of the woman had been talk of the town in Asaba and its environs, the woman by share of providence became the house bread winner.

She was said to have introduced her daughter, a final year student of the state owned university, Awai, Asaba during which she became an errand girl and allegedly find her way into the heart of the banker who in most of her visits on behalf of the mother, allegedly spoils her with money.

Insider said that the girl, 22 years old, suddenly “assumed” the hottest in the heart of the banker who allegedly confided in a friend that the girl does the “job” better than the mother.

Investigation revealed that while their relationship lasted, the banker got a shocker from the mother, a 48 year old that she was pregnant and the following week on her news, the daughter reportedly “stamped” the banker with the same news.
The revelation of their pregnancies, further investigation revealed, had created tension in the family of the housewife and her property had been thrown out by the husband’s relations who described the act as an abomination.

One of the family members, Ogbueshi John Ikwunebo said “we as family members have asked the mother and the daughter to pack out of our brother’s house, it is a taboo and they cannot live there again”.

The housewife a native of Ogbeokaze Quarters in Asaba, had allegedly been “sleeping around” after the husband was reportedly hit with strange illness, while the daughter an under graduate of DELSU allegedly lives same like the mother.
